Are You God's Man Or Woman?
"And I looked for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." (Ezekiel 22:30)
Will you, along with us, tell the Lord, right now, that He cannot say this for as long as we are alive on this earth? Let's do it. Let's determine in our hearts to be men and women of God who will stand in the gap for the Lord for the rest of our days on this earth. Amen?
Is Your Mind Set On Things Above Today?
"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God." (Colossians 3:2-3)
"Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith..." (Hebrews 12:1-2)
We all need to understand that we have a lot of people here on earth, and even more importantly in Heaven (the Bible calls them "loved ones"), pulling for us to "win the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Dare we let them down?
We don't know about you, but the following verse excites and motivates us. We hope it does the same for you too.
"For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." (2nd Peter 1:11)
Thus, it would appear that if we "remain faithful to the end", we will be ushered into God's Kingdom with great fanfare and enthusiastic celebration by those "loved ones" who are already there and awaiting our arrival. Something definitely worth shooting for, don't you think?
"Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him." (Hebrews 5:8-9; See also John 17:21-23)
Are you suffering today? If so, be thankful...learn...obey...grow...become "one with Him" and "enter the kingdom".
"...we must through much tribulation (suffering) enter into the kingdom of God." (Acts 14:22)
Ruler Or Ruled In God's Kingdom?
Which one will you be? (See Daniel 7:27; 2nd Timothy 2:12; Revelation 2:26-27; Revelation 5:9-10; Revelation 20:4-6 & Revelation 22:5)
No More Apostacy!
We have been apostate towards God long enough. It is now time for us to become apostate towards sin. Once and for all, we must have nothing to do with sin in any shape or form ever again. Sin belongs to the devil. We are children of the Most High God. We belong to Him! We have been bought with a price. Do you not know that we are "beloved of God and called to be saints"? What are we doing fooling around with sin and living our lives with this cavalierly indifferent, "Oh well, whatever?" attitude towards the one who shed His innocent blood for us? Shame on us for having been this way towards Him! We must say, "Never again, dear Lord, never again!" Let each of us, from this day forward, repent and determine in our hearts that we are going to allow the Lamb of God to reap the reward for His suffering by bowing our knee in complete and total obedience to the ruler of heaven and earth, our blessed Redeemer, our King, Christ Jesus.
"But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." (Romans 13:14)
Error!
The "Doctrine of Grace", as it is currently taught in evangelical churches in America, is nothing but rebellion against God because it excuses our continuance in sinful behavior which is completely antithetical to Scripture. As a result, many of God's people are in jeopardy of missing out on the "first resurrection". (For starters, read Romans 6 and Revelation 2:4-7)
"How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation...?" (Hebrews 2:3)
Do You Know The Lord?
You might say you do. But an even more important question would be, does the Lord say He knows you? (See Matthew 7:21-23; see also, 1st John 2:4)
"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout all the earth in seach of hearts that are totally His to strengthen them." (2nd Chronicles 16:9)
Is your heart totally His today? If not, why not?
A Most Excellent Prayer And Exhortation For All Of Us!
"Give me thy grace, good Lord, to set the world at naught, to set my mind fast upon thee. And not to hang upon the blast of men's mouths.
To be content to be solitary, not to long for worldly company, little and little utterly to cast off the world, and rid my mind of all the business thereof. Not to long to hear of any wordly things, but that the hearing of wordly phantasies may be to me displeasant. Gladly to be thinking of God, piteously to call for His help, to lean unto the comfort of God, busily to labour to love Him.
To know mine own vilety (vileness) and wretchedness, to humble and meeken myself under the mighty hand of God, to bewail my sins passed (past), for the purging of them, patiently to suffer adversity. Glad to bear my purgatory here, to be joyful of tribulations, to walk the narrow way that leadeth to life.
To bear the cross with Christ, to have the last thing in remembrance, to have ever afore mine eye death that is ever at hand, to make death no stranger to me, to foresee and consider the everlasting fire of hell, to pray for pardon before the judge come.
To have continually in mind the passion that Christ suffered for me, for His benefits uncessantly to give Him thanks.
To buy the time again that I before have lost. To abstain from vain confabulations, to eschew light foolish mirth and gladness, recreations not necessary to cut off. Of worldly substance, friends, liberty, life and all, to set the loss at right nought, for the winning of Christ.
To think my most enemies by best friends, for the brethren of Joseph could never have done him so much good with their love and favour as they did him with their malice and hatred.
These minds are more to be desired of every man, than all the treasure of all the princes and kings, Christian and heathen, were it gathered and laid together all upon one heap."
A Word Of Warning To Christians In America
"And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry". (Habakkuk 2:2-3)
Our nation's sins and iniquities have come up to God in Heaven and He is preparing to do something about it. The sense of looming danger across our land right now is literally palpable. Talk to any one you meet and most will tell you they are "afraid", or that "something is terribly wrong". This is because God's judgement is at hand and His Spirit is forewarning us. "Ichabod" has been written upon our nation's walls and our nation is in grave danger.
"Alas for the day! For the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come." (Joel 1:15)
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness." (Romans 1:18)
"To execute judgement upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed..." (Jude 15)
Therefore, we need to repent and get our houses in order and seek the Lord Jesus Christ like we have never done before, for He is coming to punish us for our willfull sins and rebellion against Him. He shall not delay His anger against our nation any longer. Our only hope is to be found in Christ Jesus when He comes. And He most assuredly is coming to judge our nation, and with a vengeance.
"Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord." (Romans 12:19)
May those who have ears to hear take heed now! The Judge is at the door and He shall not delay His wrath and anger any longer.
"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (Titus 2:11-14)
A Worthy Endeavour!
"Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own because Christ Jesus has made me his own."
(Philippians 3:12)
"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Phillippians 3:13-14)
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2)
May each and every one of us, who would dare to be called by His Name, determine once and for all to take up our crosses and completely die to ourselves and allow God to direct our lives "whithersoever He" chooses. In other words, to finally say to Him, and mean it, "not my will but thine be done!"
"Come, let us return unto the Lord.
For He has torn us, but He will heal us;
He has wounded us, but He will bandage us.
He will revive us after two days;
He will raise us up on the thrid day
That we may live before Him.
So let us know, let us press on to know the Lord.
His going forth is as certain as the dawn;
And He will come to us like the rain,
Like the spring rain watering the earth." (Hosea 6:1-3)
"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called..." (1st Timothy 6:12)
Let us all determine in our hearts this day that we are going to serve the Lord our God now and forever more, no matter what it costs us! Amen?
"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (Titus 2:11-14)
"...they...searched the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so."
(Acts 17:11)
