"Come Let Us Reason Together..."
"Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isaiah 1:18)
Absolutely amazing! God, the creator of you and me, asks us to reason with Him. Unbelievable! Read that sentence again. God, the creator, actually asks us, His creation, to stop and consider that even though our sins are as scarlet and red like crimson, a deep, dark colored stain, He is still willing to have mercy on us, pardon us, forgive us, wash us and take away the red crimson stain of our sins and make them as white as snow, and like wool, in His eyes.
He says He will put our sins away from us "as far as the east is from the west" (Psalms 103:12) and "remember them no more" (Isaiah 43:25), if we will repent, turn to Him and love Him with a whole heart. All simply because He loves us and wants us to be with Him.
How can we possibly say "no" to Him? How can we not readily accept His lovingkindness and mercy?
"...wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." (Psalms 51:7)
"For great is thy mercy towards me..." (Psalms 86:13)
"How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! (Psalms 36:7-9)
